*FLASHBACK*

"SHE..."

Malini's breath caught in her throat as she spotted someone familiar across the crowded room. Her heart raced with a mixture of surprise and trepidation, her mind reeling with the implications of the unexpected encounter.

For a moment, she stood frozen in place, unable to tear her gaze away from the figure before her. Questions occupied her minds, yet the answers laid in confronting the person.

She gathered her resolve, and took a step forward, her heart pounding in her chest. With each stride, the distance between her and the familiar figure before her seemed to shrink, until at last she stood mere inches away.

Malini reached out and tapped the person on the shoulder, her features hard with anticipation. As the figure turned to face her, their eyes met in a moment of tense silence, the air thick.

And then, with a sharp intake of breath, Malini spoke, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Kashi what are you doing here?" Malini posed, her surprise and confusion upon encountering Kashi unexpectedly.

The woman's brows frowned slightly as she spoke, her gaze steady despite the uncertainty in her words.
"Excuse me, lady. My name is not Kashi. You must be mistaken," she said, her tone polite yet firm.

Malini studied her carefully, without nothing flicker of hesitation in her eyes. There was something about the way she held herself, a quiet confidence tinged with a hint of vulnerability, that intrigued Malini. She could sense that there was more to this woman than met the eye.

For a moment, Malini hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. Was this woman truly not Kashi, as she claimed? Or was there something deeper at play, a web of deception woven with skillful precision?

With a silent nod, Malini decided to play along, at least for now. "My apologies," she said, her voice smooth as silk. "It seems I've made a mistake. Please, forgive my confusion."

As the woman's eyes softened with gratitude, Malini couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this encounter than met the eye. There was something different about Kashi, her subconscious whispered, a mysterious aura that intrigued her.

"May I ask your name then?" Malini inquired politely, seeking to redirect the conversation away from the awkward misunderstanding.

"Anamika"

"Anamika," Malini repeated, committing the name to memory with a nod of acknowledgment.

"A pleasure to meet you, Anamika." Malini smiled.

"Same here. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to attend some other matters."
Anamika said.

With a polite smile, Malini turned away, her mind already racing with thoughts of the encounter and the implications it held for her plans. As she navigated the bustling crowd, the name "Anamika" echoed in her mind, a tantalizing clue in the puzzle of her adversary's identity.
