A few chapters back, I'd told you guys that I would try to 'expand' the genres that I was reading.
So, I tried.
I actually clicked and checked a few books in the following genres:
• horror
• paranormal
•fantasy
Well of course there were some great ass horror stories, keeping me up in the middle of the night (not because it was that good but because it was so good I believed that shit omfg I didn't sleep coz I got so scared)
But there were loads of them that I read and I was like - this shit isn't horror at all!
And one reason for this would be the fact that...wait for it...
They're fan fiction.
Look, I've no problem with fan fic books (okay maybe a little bit), but tbh I just can't take these fan-fic/horror seriously
LIKE O MA GEE THE NUMBER OF BOOKS WITH 1D ON THE COVER TRYING TO BE ALL SCARY IS SO HILARIOUS
Like wooooooo Niall's ghost is haunting the town to kill everyone
Or lol Harry becomes the Dragon Master/Airbender/Zeus' long lost son hahaha
Like guys that's so ridiculous pls I understand that in the world of today anyone can be whatever they want to be (Americans lol) but shhhhhiiiittttt bruh we can't be having Larry joining Hogwarts, that's a double sin.

Another thing is how prepared every fucking wattpad character is for any challenge, like zombie apocalypse and shit
Like candy176's message killed me yea:
I was reading a story...the kid's mum had just turned into a zombie, so he ran to his room then locked the door. Then this happens:
"Pulling myself to my feet, I ran to my closet and got an already packed bag. It was stuffed with bags of chips and cans of soda. Also a first aid kit, a mini radio, and a loaded handgun...
Like whaaaattttt
When a zombie attack happens, the whole point is that you're NOT prepared for it.
Like why the fuck does this kid have a handgun honestly
That's so violent
Everything is so normal until disaster comes eh, then that's when everything happens when it's convenient
It's a bit like in that youtube cinema sins video, "everything wrong with catching fire..." when we realize how the cameras catching Katniss and her shenanigans are only there for the convenience of the plot
(I love watching cinema sins and honest trailers like GAAAH they just make my life...who else watches them? *high five!*)
But back to wattpad yea:
It's a normal school day and shit but when a giant metal meteor is crashing onto earth some bitch just pops up with a giant magnet like he knew that shit was gonna happen yea, he prepared his whole life for this moment and shit lol
Guys PLEASE plan your work. If you want an item to come in handy in the future, cleverly introduce it in the beginning for a reason.
It STILL doesn't mean that an 8 year old should have a hand gun "in case" of a zombie apocalypse OMG
But yea, do it like mickey-mouse clubhouse with the whole 'mouse-ca-tools' or however fuck you spell that, they are so clever, because Toodles will give four items in the beginning. They are all so random and I can't see how they connect, but, while I usually follow that shit, when they need one of the tools I'm like "OMG THAT MAKES SENSE!!! I SEE HOW IT RELATES ERR MA GAAD THAT IS SO SMART!"

Guys don't you dare give me that bullshit for "my little sister/brother watches it so I kind of have to too." WE ALL KNOW YOU LOVE IT

But I hope you see my point. I've noticed how my struggle with wattpad, is how unrealistic things are.
Please don't make someone like Harry Styles a murderer or something. If you "love" him as much as you say pls just don't, it just doesn't fit
